Faith Baptist Church of Harney County exists to fulfill the Great Commandment (Mark 12:30-31) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). We do this by cultivating an environment, relationships, and programs that effectively promote life-changing love for God, active love for others, and practical Christian discipleship through knowing, following, and proclaiming God’s Word, the Bible.

History
Faith Baptist Church has a rich history, dating back to 1894 in Burns.In 1954, part of the congregation organized First Conservative Baptist Church in Hines.In 1976 the Burns and Hines churches united to form Faith Baptist Church of Harney County, located immediately between the two towns.The present building was constructed in 1980.The church continues to be identified as a Conservative Baptist body.
Get to know Our Pastor.
Stuart Boyer is the lead pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Eastern Oregon. Stuart remains fully devoted toward Christian ministry advancing educational and practical life opportunities toward the goal of forming disciples that make other disciples, presenting every person complete in Christ Jesus. Pastor Boyer’s greatest joy as a Christian remains leading, discipling, mentoring, and coaching people toward learning transformational spiritual truths, and connecting them in lifestyle, embracing their spiritual gifts and calling, toward the betterment of communities, which glorify God. This remains Stuart’s experience and pattern—evaluating, discovering, and effectively implementing solutions for differing and unique needs for persons within distinct cultures, and backgrounds, helping each person reveal Jesus to others through their lives.
Dr. Boyer is adjunct professor at Horizon University USA; and adjunct professor for Calvary Chapel Bible College. Stuart is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible College, Horizon College of San Diego, Azusa Pacific University, and Luther Rice University and Regent University—and is the author of Biblical Leadership Development: Principles for Developing Organizational Leaders at Every Level, and a contributing author to other books focusing on Christian life and discipleship.
Stuart and Rosalie Luna married in 2010. Since then, our family has grown, and we now have four daughters (5 if we include our dog named Tiggy). Our oldest is Adaya, next is Ambriella, our third is our daughter Amiah, and Annika is our fourth daughter. Yes, we are one of those families, all our daughter’s names start with “A’s,” but all their names have significant meanings and were carefully picked out (God’s jewel, precious jewel, beloved, favored one). Our family loves being outdoors (yard work/gardening, picnics, hiking, playing), long drives exploring, and playing in the snow making snowmen, drinking hot cocoa, and sledding. You will not only see horses, cowgirl boots and hats, mermaids, unicorns, rainbows, and sparkles all around our home, but you will find lots of art work, pictures, dancing and singing to worship music, and lots of books, especially about Jesus.
